如果只能用三個形容詞來形容Lana Del Rey的音樂，你會用哪三個形容詞呢？
如果是我，我會選「復古」、「慵懶」、「平靜」。
復古，指的是「畫面上」的復古。
讓我印象最深的是〈Summertime Sadness〉這首歌。在看這首歌的MV時，我深深覺得Lana Del Rey真的是打算把復古感和懷舊感玩到極致，第一次看這首歌的MV已經是好幾年前，但當時的印象之強烈、之深刻，到現在都還記的清清楚楚。
尤其是畫面中不斷閃動的黑點與白點，這些原本應該要是多餘的、干擾的、需要被排除的元素，在這首歌裡竟然一點都不讓我覺得突兀，當時看到這種充滿懷舊感的拍攝手法，腦子第一個閃出的念頭是：「哇！原來MV還可以這樣拍啊！」然後〈Summertime Sadness〉就變成一首我經常聽的歌了，直到現在還是一樣。
慵懶，指的是「唱腔上」的慵懶。
最讓我印象深刻的是〈Terrence Loves You〉這首歌。第一次聽這首歌時，當聽完前兩句歌詞——「You are what you are, I don’t matter to anyone」，我直接先按下暫停，把〈Terrence Loves You〉加到音樂清單，然後才把整首歌聽完。
那感覺就和第一次看〈Summertime Sadness〉的MV一樣震撼，只是〈Summertime Sadness〉是視覺上的震撼，〈Terrence Loves You〉是聽覺上的震撼，尤其是Lana Del Rey用那極為慵懶的唱腔唱前兩句歌詞時，我很清楚地記得，當時腦子第一個閃出的念頭是：「哇！原來歌還可以這樣唱啊！」然後〈Terrence Loves You〉就變成一首我聽到現在的歌了。
在〈Terrence Loves You〉這首歌中，除了開頭前兩句很迷人很有味道之外，還有一小段也非常值得注意聽，那就是歌曲的中後段——「I put the radio on, hold you tight in my mind, isn’t strange that you’re not here with me, but I know the light’s on, in the television」我不太清楚這是什麼風格的旋律，只覺得這種旋律和Lana Del Rey獨特的慵懶唱腔好搭，聽起來既細膩又溫柔，這個段落我重複聽了不下百次。
平靜，指的是「旋律上」的平靜。
最讓我印象深刻的是〈Honeymoon〉這首歌。Lana Del Rey的音樂風格，如果硬要說的話，就是不管歌詞內容在講什麼，整個歌曲給人的感覺，好像都維持著一種很穩定的「平靜感」。〈Love〉和〈Ultraviolence〉都是一樣，但把這種平靜感推到極致的歌，我想非〈Honeymoon〉莫屬了。坦白講，除了Lana Del Rey以外，我實在想不到還有哪個歌手有辦法把〈Honeymoon〉(中文叫蜜月)這首本應要很「甜」的歌，演繹的如此平靜而憂鬱。(開頭的音樂甚至還有點在拍恐怖片的感覺……)
我沒有想評價這是好事還是壞事，但我喜歡Lana Del Rey這樣的嘗試與突破。這首歌不算是我會常聽的歌，因為旋律和調性還蠻灰暗的，聽完之後心情可能會有點受影響，不過這首歌所營造的那種詭異感、矛盾感、衝突感，在音樂世界中算是很少見的，所以思來想去，還是決定要推薦〈Honeymoon〉這首歌給大家。
